1. Agreement and App Store terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of Weight Scanner ("Weight Scanner," "we," "us," or "our") concerning the Weight Scanner iOS and iPadOS application (the "App"). Apple is not a party to these Terms.

These Terms supplement Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA"). If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple Standard EULA and may enforce it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Weight Scanner. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for any purchases.

3. Limited license

Subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.

You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its services, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

4. What Weight Scanner provides

Weight Scanner analyzes a photo you take or choose and gives estimates with five tools: Weight, Size, Count, Coins and Colors. Results are produced from the image, a reference object when one is visible, and general assumptions about materials and objects. The free plan includes a limited number of scans per day; Weight Scanner Pro removes that limit.

5. Estimates, not measurements

Do not rely on Weight Scanner where accuracy matters, including:

• Trade, pricing, shipping or postage calculations, or any legal-for-trade use.
• Medication, supplement or food dosing, or medical and nutritional decisions.
• Load limits, lifting, structural, vehicle or other safety-related decisions.
• Valuing coins or collectibles. Coin results show face value only and are not an appraisal of collector or metal value.

Use a certified scale or appropriate instrument whenever accuracy is important.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Only photograph objects and places you are allowed to photograph.
• Not upload images that are unlawful or that infringe others' rights.
• Use the App only for lawful, personal purposes.
• Protect your device and Apple Account from unauthorized access.
• Not disrupt the App or try to bypass the free-scan limit, purchase validation or security measures.

7. Weight Scanner Pro and subscriptions

Weight Scanner Pro is offered as weekly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The available plans, prices, billing periods and any free trial are shown in the App before you buy. Prices may vary by country and include applicable taxes.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown in the App.
• If the App offers a free trial and Apple confirms you are eligible, you are not charged until the trial ends. The subscription then starts and renews at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Use Restore Purchases in the App to restore purchases made with your Apple Account.

Apple handles billing, cancellations and refunds. Refund requests are subject to Apple's policies and applicable law. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.

8. Your photos and our content

You keep ownership of the photos you scan. You give us a limited permission to process them, and to store them if you keep "Keep photos with scans" on, only to provide the App's features to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The App, including its design, software, artwork and branding, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and trademarks that appear in results remain the property of their owners.

9. Third-party services

Weight Scanner relies on Apple for distribution and in-app purchases, Google Firebase for data storage and analytics, RevenueCat for purchase management, and image-analysis providers to produce estimates. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for services outside our reasonable control.

10. Changes and availability

We may improve, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the App, change the free-scan limit, or update these Terms. We will not intentionally take away an active paid subscription without the access or remedy required by applicable law and App Store rules.

Updated Terms apply from the effective date shown above. If a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it in the App or through another appropriate channel.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weight Scanner is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, reliance on an estimate, or a third-party service. Our liability is not limited where doing so would be unlawful, including for fraud, wilful misconduct or certain personal injury.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend access if you materially violate these Terms, attempt fraud or misuse the App. Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers and limitations of liability, will survive. Termination does not cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple.

14. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights in your country of residence continue to apply.
